UNT Passes IAS Reassessment; Canada Tents Regulations Added to Accredited Scope
On September 21, 2026, IAS assessors conducted an on-site reassessment at our laboratory. The reassessment was passed, and the new certificate took effect on October 14, 2026, accreditation No. TL-1374.
Canada Tents Regulations (SOR/2024-217) updated. Since November 20, 2024, Canada has replaced the previous Tents Regulations — substantially unchanged since 1988 — with SOR/2024-217. Flammability and fire-safety labelling requirements follow CAN/CGSB-182.1-2020, with additional provisions for children’s tents. Our accredited scope has been updated accordingly.

The certificate bears the ILAC-MRA mark. IAS is a signatory to the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement, so test results are recognized within the mutual recognition framework. Accreditation status and scope can be checked on the IAS website (iasonline.org) using accreditation No. TL-1374.
